The world's first industrial sole that complies with EPD
VIBRAM has conducted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study on the TRONT composite Fourà sole in accordance with ISO 14025 and has been certified by a third-party registration body of the international EPD (Environment Product Declaration) system program, which is the first precedent for industrial soles in the world. This study allowed us to make a detailed assessment of the environmental footprint of the Fourà model: for each pair of TRONT soles produced in the Albizzate (Italy) production facility, only about 1.94 kg of CO2 is released (7% carbon footprint).

Use clean energy
Wherever possible, we prefer renewable electricity. In China, because the energy market does not allow us to choose the source of our electricity supply, we installed a solar power plant to power street lights and heating for on-site dormitories.
